Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the NOVA RIOT SYSTEMS studio website, novariotsystems.com. It's an information site about our studio and what we build. Our products have their own terms; this page is about the website itself.

01Agreement

By accessing or using novariotsystems.com and its pages, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We operate the site as NOVA RIOT TECHNOLOGIES OY (Y-tunnus 3634669-5), Espoo, Finland.

02What the site is

The studio website is an informational and marketing site. It describes the studio, our approach, our people, and the products we build, currently Saalis, with other tools in development. The site has no user accounts, no checkout, and no product functionality of its own. Links may take you to our product (app.saalis.app) or to third parties, each governed by their own terms.

03Products have their own terms

If you sign up for or use one of our products, that product's own terms and privacy policy apply to it, not these. For Saalis, see its Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund & Cancellation Policy. Nothing on this studio site forms a contract to provide any product or feature.

04Building in the open, no promises of results

We describe ourselves as a studio "building in the open," which means we sometimes talk about products, features, and plans before they ship, and about the resale space our tools serve. To be clear:

• Forward-looking statements aren't commitments. Plans, roadmaps, timelines, and "coming soon" notes may change, slip, or be dropped entirely.
• We make no income, earnings, or profit claims. Nothing on this site is a promise, guarantee, estimate, or projection that you or anyone will make money, save money, sell an item, or achieve any particular result by using our products.
• Any examples, figures, or descriptions are illustrative only and are not a representation of typical outcomes.

05Intellectual property

The studio website and everything in it, text, layout, design, code, graphics, logos, the NOVA RIOT SYSTEMS name and mark, the Saalis and Flippis names and marks, our product concepts, methodology, and all related materials, are the proprietary intellectual property of NOVA RIOT TECHNOLOGIES OY (and, where applicable, its predecessor NOVA RIOT SYSTEMS), or of the respective owners of any third-party marks shown. All rights are reserved.

You may view the site and share ordinary links to it. You may not, without our prior written permission: copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute the site's content or design; scrape, harvest, or systematically extract its content; reverse-engineer or reuse our code or design system; or use our names, marks, or branding in a way that implies affiliation or endorsement. Third-party product names and trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

06Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree not to:

• attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
• introduce malware, run automated attacks, or probe for vulnerabilities without authorisation;
• scrape or bulk-download content except as permitted by law or with our written consent;
• use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes our rights or those of others.

07Third-party links

The site links to external resources, including our product app and third-party sites such as marketplaces. We don't control those destinations and aren't responsible for their content, terms, or practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

08The site is provided "as is"

We work to keep the studio site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or up to date, and information here may change without notice. This does not affect any mandatory statutory rights you have.

09Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NOVA RIOT TECHNOLOGIES OY is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the studio website, or from reliance on any information on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

10Changes

We may update these terms as the site or the studio evolves. The current version, with its effective date, always lives on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Finnish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live. If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
