Privacy
This page covers the NOVA RIOT SYSTEMS studio website, novariotsystems.com. It's a marketing and information site, so it collects very little. If you use our product Saalis, its own privacy policy covers what happens there.
01Who we are
The NOVA RIOT SYSTEMS website is operated by NOVA RIOT TECHNOLOGIES OY (business ID / Y-tunnus 3634669-5), a company registered in Finland at Nahkasuutarintie 11 C 25, 02780 Espoo. In this policy, "NOVA RIOT SYSTEMS", "the studio", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company. We are the data controller for the limited personal data described here. 02What this policy covers
This policy applies to the studio website at novariotsystems.com and its subpages (Saalis overview, How we build, Founders, Investors, and these legal pages). It does not cover:
- Saalis, our product app at app.saalis.app, that has its own Privacy Policy, because it processes uploads and account data the studio site never touches.
- Third-party sites we link to (for example, a marketplace or an external article), those have their own policies.
03What we collect
Only what a plain information site needs:

Apart from that contact form, the studio site has no accounts, no password, no shopping cart, and no newsletter of its own. We do not ask for or intentionally collect special-category data. Please don't send us sensitive personal information by email that you don't need to.
04Fonts & third-party requests
The site's typefaces (Anton, IBM Plex Mono, Inter) are served from our own domain, not from a font network. Opening a page on this site makes no request to any third party at all: no font provider, no analytics, no advertising network, no embedded video or map. Your IP address reaches our host and nobody else.
05Cookies & analytics
The studio site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it sets no cookie that identifies you personally. If we ever add website analytics, we'll use a privacy-friendly, cookieless approach that doesn't build a profile of you, and we'll update this page before doing so.
One technical detail, for completeness: if we show a site notice and you dismiss it, your browser stores a single value in local storage so we don't show it again. It holds no personal data, identifies nobody, and never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
06Who we share with
We share the little we hold only with the providers that make the site run, each for a single purpose:
- Our website host, serving the pages and keeping the technical logs above.
- Our email provider, delivering and storing the mail you send to us so we can reply.
- Our host's form service, receiving and storing contact-form submissions until we have answered them. The same company hosts the site.
We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share it for advertising. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; where that happens, it relies on the appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
07How long we keep things
- Emails you send: kept while relevant to our correspondence, then deleted in the normal course.
- Contact-form messages: kept while relevant to our correspondence, then deleted, the same as email.
- Server logs: kept for a short period for security, then rotated out.
08Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to: access the data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; and receive it in a portable format. Email hello@novariotsystems.com and we'll respond within the legal timeframe. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority, in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
09Children
This is a studio site aimed at people interested in our work and products; it is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 through it.
10Changes to this policy
If we change how the studio site handles data, we'll update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
